Subsurface Imaging, Special Inspection, Environmental Compliance, Materials Testing, QC/QA Inspection
The LADWP River Supply Conduit Improvement Upper Reach-Unit 7 Project involved replacing nearly 2.5 miles of welded steel pipe to enhance the drinking water supply for Los Angeles. The project included 11,800 feet of tunnel boring, pre-cast concrete tunnel segment installation, microtunneling, open cut excavation, and the installation of a 78-inch diameter welded steel water line. Originally constructed in the 1940s, the river supply conduit required significant upgrades to address wear and tear, ensure efficient water transport from the Los Angeles Reservoir, and maintain reliable service for residents and businesses. TQF contributed to this project through subsurface imaging, special inspection, environmental compliance, materials testing, and QC/QA inspection.
