Project Summary

The purpose of this project is to improve traffic flow by expanding the existing bridge. This project will widen the replace the 81-year-old bridge with a new 1200 foot long bridge that features structural seismic and hydraulic state of the art design the project will also widen hamner avenue to three lanes in each direction from Alhambra street to Schliemann road creating a six-lane thoroughfare from Norco through east vale to accommodate the regions rapidly growing population the new bridge over the Santa Ana river will include a four wide median and shoulders along with a new 12- foot wide separated multi – purpose trail on the east side of the bridge.
