Project Summary

LAWA's ongoing Utilities and Landside Access Modernization program (LAMP) Enabling Projects program constitutes a significant endeavor aimed at facilitating the movement of people to and from the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). This ambitious initiative encompasses various enabling infrastructure improvements, including utility relocations, demolition of existing facilities, and roadway enhancements. Its overarching objective is to mitigate congestion and streamline accessibility for airport patrons. This project comprises of four pivotal elements, namely, a 2.25-mile elevated Automated People Mover (APM), two Intermodal Transportation facilities (ITF), a Consolidated Rental Car facility (CONRAC), and a comprehensive series of roadway enhancements. Each component is meticulously designed to facilitate optimal flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic, reducing bottlenecks and enhancing efficiency.
