Project Summary

The Van Nuys Airport was one of the busiest general aviation airports that included the rehabilitation of the 8,000-foot taxiway. Phase two involved comprehensive improvements to Taxiway A. This vital transportation corridor served as a key component of the airport’s infrastructure, facilitating the safe and efficient movement of aircraft and passengers. The project scope included the replacement of the taxiway pavement, shoulder pavement, and lighting system, as well as modifications to airfield signs and various grading and drainage improvements in the vicinity of Taxiways M and P. These upgrades enhanced the overall functionality and safety of the taxiway, ensuring that it met the growing demands of the airport’s operations.
Given the specialized nature of this work, electrical airfield expertise was required. Our team had a strong track record of delivering similar projects on time and on budget. Construction on the Van Nuys Airport Rehabilitation Project, phase two began in the fall of 2019 and was completed in the middle of 2021. Our team at The Quality Firm provided a range of services to ensure the successful completion of this project, including electrical inspection, soils inspection, underground structure inspection, storm drain installation, manhole construction, concrete testing, quality control inspection, and nuclear gauge inspection for asphalt and soils compaction.
These comprehensive services were essential in ensuring that all aspects of the project were completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. Our team of experienced professionals worked diligently to deliver reliable and accurate results, ensuring that the final product exceeded the expectations of our clients. We were proud to have contributed to the success of this important aviation project.
