Project Summary
This project includes the construction of four new exit taxiways and rehabilitation of hot mix asphalt (HMA) pavement surfacing on Runway 6L-24. The aviation department of LAWA, representing the City of Los Angeles, plans to make enhancements to the RSA of Runway 6L-24R and Runway 6R-24L, situated in the north airfield of LAX. The purpose of these improvements is to meet the provisions of Public Law [P.L.] 109-115, which pertains to the Transportation, Treasury, Housing and Urban Development, the Judiciary, the District of Columbia, and Independent Agencies Appropriations Act, 2006.
